Abstract

In urban areas, nowadays, ultimate uses for completed landfills of municipal solid wastes are watched with interest. Most of completed landfills are used for parks, baseball grounds and so on.
However, in the near future, we will have to consider how to use those for much higher level. There fore, we must examine records of those, and study about prospective land uses.
For the short-term land use planning, the final disposal sites are left in the form of no use, or use for parks. Meanwhile, for the long-term land use planning under the correct concept of planning, we must design a basic concept to satisfy social needs.
In this study, we show a few ultimate use plans for completed landfills of municipal solid wastes, in the future, according to our investigation. In conclusion, in any cases, we find that those have to be the continuous system to the ultimate plannings, from the beginning of the landfills plannings.
