For a 5G/B5G mobile communication system, in order to satisfy extremely diversified system requirements, diversified advancement elements, such as high throughput, high mobility, low delay, high capacity, multiple connections and energy conservation, have been desired. The article presents NICT's R&D activities on 5G/B5G mobile communication systems in order to effectively improve their availability by introducing private microcell structures with advanced management technologies.
