This paper discusses sound diffraction effects by a reflective wide barrier, an absorptive wide barrier and double barriers through model experiments. Firstly, we show the difference of the attenuation by the three sorts of noise barriers with the results of the model experiments of 1/10 scale, and study the cause of it. Secondly, we propose the calculation methods for the attenuation by the reflective wide barrier and the double barriers giving continuous calculated values in all receiving points, and verify the methods by comparing the values with the results of the experiments.
