Abstract
Space correlation of wind force is one of the most important factors in the evaluation of gust response of bridge girders. The applicability of LES analysis to evaluate the space correlation of wind force in isotropic turubulence flow is investigated in this study. The required length of spanwide space and the grid size in spanwise direction were estimated by numerical tests. Correlation coefficients of pressure difference was properly estimated by LES. The space correlation of wind force are much larger than that of inflow, and are strongly affected by the spanwise phase difference of Karman vortex.
