Abstract
Generally, a practical runoff forecast from snowmelt bases on empirical methods such as the degree-hour factor method. However, its accuracy is still not satisfactory. This paper proposed a new approach to make use of the fuzzy reasoning method as a practical runoff prediction from snowmelt. This proposed method uses only air temperature as a driving force of runoff system and makes use of daily weather forecast by the meteorological agency. The proposed method provides a good result in comparison with the conventional degree-hour factor method.
