Current difficulty to formulate complex systems may be resolved by introducing scale constraints thanks to the development of advanced information technology. This paper concerns the identification of the first principle equation that governs complex system beviour by applying machine learning and trial study of the relationship between the public affinity and earthquake risk. The basic research of the discovery of the first principle equation has been made in the area of artificial intelligence, a kind of engineering. This outcome was extended to socio-psychology. Thus the framework is considered to be a symbiosis of natural and cultural sciences.

It is commonly said that both the renewable new energy and nuclear energy are effective for preventing global warming, but the both have their own problems on real introduction. In this paper, we will first point out that the symbiosis with society is the important aspect for the enterprise activity, then the problems of the new energy and nuclear energy will be made clear by social investigation, and propose the new concepts of enterprise models to solve the raised issues for those energy sectors.

To improve the usability of plant operation systems without decreasing plant safety and reliability, we need an advanced human-machine system that is easy to use and highly tolerant of human errors. Our goal is to upgrade basic functions of human-machine systems in the plant-operation through the use of advanced human interface techniques. This paper describes an outline of that project.

Information education which is becoming compulsory at school in Japan does not teach human interface very much yet. Human interface, on the other hand, is currently attracting attention and plays a significant role in making the society accessible to everyone. For example, information technology with an accessible interface is used for supporting the independent lives of many people with disabilities and elderly people. Hence learning human interface can become an important part in today’s information education, as well as learning information processing and the operation of hardware and software. In this study, university students and junior high school students have group activities with kindergarten pupils where they create multimedia software together. In this cooperative work among people from different age groups, it is hoped that they understand the difference of each other and the students find the need to design the software enjoyable and accessible to the kindergarten pupils, which might develop their creativity toward information technology useful for everyone.

Towards harmony between human and society for the sustainable development of humanity, we had constructed a web site for “Sym-bio Society Formation” as a forum of knowledge sharing and mutual communication. Additionally, towards providing friendly place for dialogue between multigenerational people about various social issues, we have considered a web site using network communication. The character agent was introduced to navigate into a community and to provoke participants’ message. We have conducted the experiment to research the evaluation and effectiveness of the web site with respect to evocation of messages, usefulness of navigation, and so on. In consequense, we have found that the usefulness of the navigator would have relation with the familiarity to the networked community.
