研究の目的
少子高齢化を迎えた社会に対応し、中学校家庭科の内容は変化してきているが、中学生の幼児とのふれ合い体験の重要性は現行の学習指導要領において、又、今年3月に告示され平成24年度施行の学習指導要領においても家庭科の指導内容の中心的なものとして押さえられている。ふれ合い体験では生徒が作成したおもちゃを持って行って遊ぶなど、おもちゃと組み合わせた実践が行われることが少なくない。しかし、おもちゃの取り入れ方とふれ合い体験の学びの関連については十分に検討されているとはいえない。
本研究グループでは、ふれ合い体験を実施するに当たって中学生と年少者の交流を深めるかかわり方に焦点を当てて研究を進めてきた。本研究では、ふれ合い体験の中でかかわりをを促進させるおもちゃとはどのようなものか探ることを目的とした。
<研究の方法>
1.対象の概要
対象中学生:大学附属中学校の中学3年生(4クラス)
対象児:大学附属幼稚園の4歳児・5歳児(各1クラス)
分析資料:自己評価・感想・ナラティブ等、教師による観察を分析対象とした。
2.授業計画
中学生が幼児とふれあう交流学習を、幼児を中学校に招く形式をとり、「たけはやスタンプラリー」と題して実践する。「たけはやスタンプラリー」では、生徒が幼児が喜びそうなおもちゃをグループであらかじめ調べて相談して作成する。当日は、幼児がグループごとに周り、スタンプを生徒が押す。交流当日は、準備・片づけ・反省を含めて2時間とるが、事前学習に2~3時間要する。幼児との交流に向けて、中学生の意識が高まっていくよう、事前学習の時間にかかわり方を工夫することを班毎に話し合わせた。
本研究では、生徒が用意したおもちゃと幼児との交流から、どのようなおもちゃが幼児との関わりを促進し、ふれあい体験の学びを深めるかを検討する。
<研究結果と考察>
1.交流を促進させるおもちゃ
生徒達は、ホ゛ーリンク゛などのケ゛ーム形式を用意することが多いが、そのような遊びは「遊んであげる」的であると保育者から指摘されたこともあった。今回の交流の中で、「仮面作り」の場が幼児と生徒の関わりを促進するアーティファクト(媒体としての人工物)となり、中学生は幼児の身体の特徴や技能を理解していることが明らかになった。活動の内容は、中学生が準備した仮面にその場で幼児が絵を描き、幼児の耳に掛けやすいようにコ゛ムの位置を調節して幼児にフ゜レセ゛ントするという流れであった。コミュニケーションを取りながら一つのものを一緒に作っていく過程で、交流の前に抱いた中学生の様々な不安が、解消されていくことが教師による観察や、ナラティフ゛の記述から読み取ることができた。また、完成したおもちゃより、交流の場で、中学生と幼児が共に作り上げていくような完成までの過程を共に見届けることができるモノに満足感が高いことが明らかになった。
2.まとめおよび考察
各班毎に交流の中学生のかかわり方の経験は異なり、それに伴って幼児理解の仕方は異なる。中学生ひとりひとりの反応や幼児理解について、授業記録やアンケート結果をもとに分析した結果、交流の場で幼児とかかわる工夫ができる媒体としてのおもちゃが交流の意義を深めることが分かった。
