Numerical finite element simulations are conducted to investigate the sensitivity of detection of defects, using multi remote field eddy current probes, in the steam generator tubes of fast breeder reactor when the tubes are covered or not by sodium. Experimental results are presented for detection of outer tube defects located in a free tube area and SG support plate.
