Abstract
In sodium cooled fast reactor, the thermal stratification phenomenon occurs after a scram shut-down. This phenomena, can induce high thermal stress and fatigue to the reactor vessel and inner components. Recent experiments have shown that geometry of the inner structure of the reactor vessel can induce spatial fluctuations of the stratification interface thus leading to further thermal stress. This study proposes to rationally analyse the stress induced by fluctuations of the thermal stratification phenomena with a frequency analysis using a model of the fluctuation.
