Abstract
Selenium is one of the key nuclides in geological disposal of nuclear waste since it has rather high solubility and is barely adsorbed on mineral surfaces as its preferential anionic forms. In this study, we study the adsorption of selenate on imogolite at various conditions, which will be discussed with potential adsorption mechanisms for the development of a valid surface complexation model.
