Abstract
Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy has become well known technique for elemental analysis. Nd:YAG laser is usually used for energy source. However, this technique cannot be applied for surface analysis on metal surface because the ablation from metal occured. we offer a novel technique for metal surface analysis by using TEA CO2 laser bombardment. Using this technique, sodium attached on the metal surface due to some leaks can easily be analyzed with sensitivity
