Abstract
In the old Nanao City where is about 40 kilometers away from the hypocenter of the Noto Hanto Earthquake on March 25, 2007 (Magnitude 6.9), a seismic intensity of five-odd was recorded. The crude summary of the seismic damages in the old Nanao City were reported in this paper. The distinctive phenomenons such as the liquefaction and the differential settlement were often observed in the reclaimed ground areas of the Nanao Nan Wan. The damages of the fallen tomb concentrated in the Yama-no-Tera temple group on the low hill. The directions of the fallen tombs suggest that the direction of the seismic shake was the directions in both North and South in the old Nanao City.
