Abstract
Digital archiving of audio assets has accelerated in recent years, but in most cases, the original recordings such as SP records are played just once to be converted into digital signals. Signal processing is also done during this process frequently. Then, by fully scanning waxcylinder with laser beams, we’ve tried to the virtual record on computer. This method is non-contact with and non-destructive, it does not damage to records. In waxcylinder, sound signal is recorded in the entire section of sound groove. From the viewpoint, We’ve tried to pick out as much information as possible from the recordings.
