The design of intelligent cross search of museum information

Abstract

This is a trial design of the super intelligent multiple search and retrieve information from the every museum in Japan. With it, we can find any information of exhibited metadata from them over the internet using ANSI/NISO Z39.50 protocol and converting to Dublin Core metadata structure. We can also view the digital pictures and/or explanations of the objects with linking from particular metadata to the database of the actual museum. To make this experiment, we used each metadata of Tokyo National Museum, Kyoto National Museum, Nara National Museum and National Museum of Japanese History with many thanks.
