3D Makeup Advice System for Practice

Abstract

Several makeup simulators have already been developed that aimed for quality improvement of makeup simulation. In this paper, we propose a 3D makeup advice system that is able to advise a user about the real makeup on her/his faces. In our system, the inputs are a distance-dataset and a color-dataset obtained from a 3D measurement equipment, and an image with a digital camera. The outputs are results of makeup simulation at several phases, instructions of makeup techniques, and advice based on comparison of the simulation and the user's real makeup. In an experiment of a prototype system, affirmative evaluation was obtained from most users.
