Abstract

It is effective in contents understanding, such as object tracking, to analyze the feature not only in a pixel domain but in a frequency domain. However, it is necessary to decode and to convert again in a frequency domain for analyzing the image coded by MPEG. This paper proposes the method of tracking an object by using MPEG coded data. The experiment shows that the proposed method can track corresponding to change of a camera or an object.
