Abstract

In this paper, recent advancement of wireless technologies is explained. Then, VMC (Vehicle Mobile Convergence) Concept for Advanced ITS service is explained. VMC is a high-level concept to increase safety and security by integrating the 3G cellular technologies and car electronics. The first examples of VMC is a seamless service between cellular phone, PC, and car navigation system, based on advanced location information which is explained in this paper, and confirmed the availability.
