Motion Retiming via Temporal Feature Analysis

Abstract

We propose an example-based method of motion retiming with a temporal feature analysis of cooperative movement of two joints. Our method first computes a two-dimensional map of given motion samples based on dissimilarity of the temporal features. The system then identifies two joints appearing essentially different movement among pre-categorized motion classes. The cooperative timing of joint movement is edited by cloning the temporal features of motions samples according to the user-specified location on the map.
