Abstract

Based on the Lambertian model, we have proposed a new diffusereflection model called extended Lambertian model. In this paper, ourmodel is compared with the conventional one by evaluating thereproducibility of real object reflection. Experiments were performedto estimate the parameters of each model from a sequence of imagestaken by varying the light condition. The results have shown theeffectiveness of our model in reproducibility of color and brightnessof wood grain.
