Proposing a Recommendation System that Fits to the Process of Writing Papers

Abstract

This paper proposes a recommendation system that fits to the process of writing papers. Researchers must survey literatures when they start to write papers. However, literature surveys cause large costs for novice researchers such as undergraduate students, who are not familiar with writing papers, because they might encounter some difficulties such as “they do not know keywords to be used for literature retrievals” and “they do not know what information they should use for the retrievals.” This paper’s recommendation method extracts key-words and related terms semi-automatically while a user is writing the outline of a paper or a note at that point, so that the system recommends literatures the user might need.
