Information hiding on digital signage display by using temporally and spatially intensity-modulated meta-image

Abstract

We propose a digital signage display technique that can invisibly embed a binary meta-image in a color component of a displayed cover-image. The technique temporally and spatially modulates intensity in a color on the cover-image according to the binary meta-image. We also propose a method to extract the meta-image in a displayed cover-image from captured image using video cameras. We first examined invisibility in terms of colors for a temporally and spatially intensity modulated meta-image in a displayed cover image. We also verified that invisibly embedded binary meta-image could be extracted from captured image by using MPEG4 AVC video format.
