Abstract

We study about pulse wave measurement system using video image of patient for telecare consultation. For getting the precise shape of pulse wave, we focused on a method using multi-band spectral images i.e. with RGB images and one band near infrared (NIR) image. The experimental result shows that component of independent component analysis of signals from green, red and NIR images was most similar shape of plethysmogram of finger. And the component using area where the variance of signal of NIR had been maximum was most effective.
