Current status and issues of reading environment improvement in Japanese islands

Abstract

In 2019, I conducted a questionnaire survey on the actual situation of the reading environment for local governments consisting only of remote islands. I also visited and interviewed several local governments. In this report, I will report on the current situation and issues of public libraries and school libraries from the results of the questionnaire survey, and introduce some cases from the results of the visit interview survey.
