Abstract

HTJ2K (ISO/IEC 15444-15) defines a new block encoder/decoder as replacement of corresponding EBCOT encoder/decoder. The new block codecs make it possible to achieve significant improvement of codec’s throughput. A summary, trend of adoption and possible applications in industries are given in this talk.
