STUDY ON RELATIVE EVALUATION METHOD OF FLOORS FROM A VIEWPOINT OF STRAIGHT MOBILITY OF CASTERS BY HUMAN FORCE : In the case of mobility caused by hardness of floors

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to present a relative evaluation method of floors from a viewpoint of straight mobility of casters (wagons, flatcars, etc.) caused by hardness of floors. With sample floors and casters, sensory tests were given and sensory scales on loads when people moved the casters were made. Physical values of casters measured by apparatus which was developed in this study correlated well to the scales and these correlations were enough as relative evaluation indexes. Equation to estimate the physical values of many kinds of casters from a physical value of a standard caster was presented.
