Abstract

Gerhart Richter is a German artist and has been making many landscape paintings from 1960s. His landscape paintings are drawn based on a photograph, a shading off is given to the surface or colours are smeared on them. Therefore, his landscape paintings are similar with his abstract paintings. Though his works that have the feature of a landscape painting externally and break the principle of a landscape painting fundamentally, embarrasses those who see.
