Short-duration intense rainfall in the wards of Tokyo and its relationship with the spatial distribution of buildings

Abstract

  In this symposium, our analyses and observational results on short-duration intense rainfall concerning (1) the spatial scale to think about the urban structure and extent of the impact of urban area and (2) the impact of urban structure given to various behavior of convective clouds that appear in urban area are presented especially from the point of view of the distribution structure of the buildings in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
