Abstract
This study presents the results of a case study of a mountain village in northeast Thailand. The focus of the study is on the change in its subsistence by introduction of cash crop cultivation that especially corn. 68percent of all cultivated land is corn, rice is 18percent, para rubber tree is 10percent and others are 3percent. Villagers depend on the corn cultivation.
