Abstract
In this study, we focused on agricultural land in riverside land, and attempted to clarify the transition process, with the development of agricultural policy as its background. The target area is the riverside land in 3cities of the Arakawa river basin, and we used some topographic maps and GIS to clarify the land use change, and also conducted a literature survey to clarify the transition factors.
As a result of this survey, it was revealed that the farmland in the target area was transformed under the influence of social conditions and agricultural policy.
