Fukui and Iida (2012) and Fukui et al. (2018) confirmed that the six perennial snow patches in Northern Japanese Alps are glaciers. However, glacier investigations have not been conducted on all perennial snow patches in northern Japanese Alps, and the glacier distribution of northern Japanese Alps is not clear. We investigated the ice thickness using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and the flow of ice using GNSS survey on Karamatsusawa perennial snow patch and considered the possibility that this is active glacier. As a result of the survey, the perennial snow patch has an ice masses with the ice thickness of more than 30 m, and a flow of 24.6 cm/29 days to the direction of the maximum gradient was observed in the end of snow melting season. Due to ice thickness and ice masses flow observed in Karamatsusawa perennial snow patch, the perennial snow patch was recognized as a glacier.
