Abstract

In this report, we focus on the fact that the "labor force" supporting the industry is reproduced by the "life" of the people who provide it, and the purpose is to clarify the relationship and logic of "labor" and "life" in the traditional and modern industries. From the perspectives of "labor" and "life", Japan was characterized as "labor-life separation type" and the United States was "live-labor type integrated type". In conclusion, it is considered that this difference is caused by the difference of gender norms, labor market and social structure, and regional social issues in the industry rise period.
