Abstract
Purpose of this Symposium
The 2022 new educational guidelines for high schools show Geography becomes a compulsory subject in Geography and History. In this public symposium we discuss what will be changed by “Chiri-Sogo (Integrated Geography)” after 2022. After discussing and organizing various problems which the presenters bring up, we will propose that how should we promote new geography education.
This symposium consists of three parts;
Part 1: What is “Chiri-Sogo”?,
Part 2: “Chiri-Sogo” and Disaster Prevention: What should we teach and how should we teach it?
Part 3: Urgent proposal: What will be changed by “Chiri-Sogo”?
