Abstract

Nowadays, the expectation onto growth of the live music market is stably increasing together with the utilization of cultural properties. In order to survive in the highly competitiveness of music venues in Taipei, the live music owners have turned into historical buildings where were ruined during 1970s to 1980s. Those historical areas are the former "Japanese Heritage", and registered as list of municipal designated cultural properties with intense to revitalize unique venues in Taipei. It is highly excepted that the cultural properties with profound regional history and culture are used as a unique venue. The utilization of cultural properties will be increased in the foreseeable future based on this situation. This research chooses five representative samples in Taiwan to figure out the actual situation and problems of utilizing cultural properties as a live music venue.
