Abstract

This symposium intends to lead an upcoming academic discussion on music and its possibilities as a medium that can raise its flexibilities beyond intra-national and intra-regional mobilities within academic scholars and practitioners. This symposium will take place online: 2020, 6th (Friday) November, 14:00~17:00 (JST), probably with online meeting tool 'ZOOM'.

Under the current situation of global pandemic COVID19, both economic and cultural activities are confronting with challenging circumstances. Although together with responsibilities and legibilities academic scholars own, we have thought this situation as a unique chance to provide an unexpected but future destinated discussions, by connecting one country to the another.

In the first part, we mainly provide case studies in Japanese, and in the following part, by hosting scholars from Germany, UK, and the Netherlands, we will see how geographers approach objects beyond fixation of material-based approaches.
