Abstract

This report examines the characteristics of the manuscript of the famous Korean old map “Daedonggeojido”. I will attempt basic research using manuscripts in Japanese collections as examples. According to the author's previous research, Japan also has a Korean “Daedonggeojido”. It was revealed that the manuscript of the“Daedonggeojido”, which was originally printed in woodblocks, was included in it. After reviewing two manuscripts, “Daedonggeojido” owned by the National Diet Library and "Cheonggu jundo" owned by the Kyoto University Library, it was found that many geographical information was added when copying, such as adding place names and topographical information. was added.
