Abstract

In 11 Nov 2022, we surveyed outcrop and landslide body of deep-seated landslides around Probi Village (84°19'51″E, 28°20'16″N), right bank of Khudi River and at Sarin Village (84°21'33″E, 28°15'18″N), right bank of Marsyangdhi River. Geology is metamorphosed sediment. On these sites landslide surface deformations were observed by InSAR analysis using PALSAR-2 data (Path158, Frame560; Observation period: 19 Oct 2017 - 26 Dec 2019) through a previous study. At the right bank of Khudi River, we found the landslide body is sliding as clockwise rotating for years, juding from outcrop observation and stike and dip measurements of strata at the foot of the body, where we also observed sliding surface with 20-cm-thick clay layer. At the village on the landslide body of right bank, Marsyangdhi River, we confirmed cracks at the entrance floor of a groceries store and the tilted walls of a house through observations and interview for residents.
