Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the system of geographical inquiry in Geographical Inquiry in K-12 Geography Education Curriculum in response to Japan's needs.

As a main result, the genealogy of geographical inquiry can be seen through the three processes and six elements together with their accumulation and confirmed as a coherent axis. On the premise, a system of geographical inquiry was positioned under the sequence and scope that were theoretically grounded. In anticipation of synchronism with the system of geographical concepts and geographical skills, it was thought that they would become a single thread through thought skill.
