Abstract

The aim of this paper will consider the urban social movement that required the reduction in the electric bill in Kitakyushu region during 1930s, focusing on the relations among various social groups and the formation of spatial scale of movement. This movement may cause local people the anger against dominant capital and the distrust of politics of representative system.
