Abstract

The purpose of this study is to compare k-12 curricula in Geography and Civics education in order to identify the current position and challenges of k-12 curriculum research in Geography education. In conclusion, Civics education has reached theorization and completed an k-12 curriculum of political education that combines practice and theory. In addition, since the researchers and many in-service teachers have completed the drafts of lesson practice together, it can be said that Civics education is ahead of Geography education in terms of k-12 curriculum research.
