Abstract

In Japan, the modification of the transportation network has been based on the business decisions of individual transportation operators, making it difficult for operators to cooperate with each other, and there are cases where routes of different operators run parallel or compete with each other. The purpose of this presentation is to analyze the situation of coordination between parallel railways and buses, to clarify the results and challenges, and to discuss the possibility of expanding the coordination to other regions.
