Land surface temperature measured by satellite remote sensing is often used to elucidate the reality of urban heat islands. However, satellite data shows that surface temperatures are often higher in residential areas than in urban areas during the day, so it is difficult to grasp the actual impact of urbanization based on temperatures only when the satellite passes by. Therefore, in this study, we combined satellite observation data with a one-dimensional heat balance model and analyzed diurnal changes in surface temperature distribution through simulation.
