Abstract

We measured displacement of the large landslide by the 2024 Noto Hanto Earthquake using ALOS-2 data. As a result, we found that landslide body on synclinal structure moved as if the mass had overflown from the shallow plate. We also sampled charcoal from the outcrop in the earthquake-induced large crack facing on the upper side of the slope. We dated AMS year of the charcoal, and it showed 2,100 yr BP. Even if large gravity is not expected as one of the landslide driving forces because of gentle undlating hills on NE Noto Peninsula, this fact shows that landslide body moved by seismic force. Furthermore, if large landslide has moved only by the historical seismic force in the hill, it is expected that hitrorical landslide slip acitivities will help revealing history of seismic uplifted coastal terrace.
