Abstract

Due to the declining birthrate nationwide in Japan, the consolidation and downsizing of schools is accelerating, and education in remote areas that has been providing education that makes use of small numbers of students is noteworthy. As a method of spatial analysis of the location and grade of remote areas of the National Research Federation for Education in Remote Areas , of which many schools with such characteristics are members, we have created a distribution map that can be said to be the first initiative in Japan. Various analyses will be conducted using this distribution map, and it is expected that it will be used in remote area education, regional revitalization, teacher training, and teacher training in the future.
