This presentation examines the potential applications of image-generating artificial intelligence (AI) technology, which facilitates the objective and idealized visualization of place images. Conventional studies on place images have been systematized through keyword extraction; however, attempts at visualization have proven to be challenging. In this study, we investigated the feasibility of generating ideal and objective place images by integrating emerging image-generation AI technologies. This approach complements text- and chart-centered discussions and provides a novel dimension of visual verification. Furthermore, we explored the possibility that images produced by image-generating AI could constitute a new field within geography.
