With the spread of generative AI tools, reading and writing academic papers in English has become easier for non-native speakers. However, presenting at international conferences and handling Q&A sessions remain challenging. This paper introduces practical strategies to enhance one’s performance and enjoyment at such events. It covers how to convert written expressions into natural spoken English, how to structure oral and poster presentations using the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) approach, and how to prepare and deliver elevator pitches tailored to various audience interests.
