Patient: The patient was a 64-year-old male with a chief complaint of masticatory disorder. The patient had oral tori and did not have dentures. The diagnosis was masticatory dysfunction caused by multiple teeth missing. Mandibular complete dentures and maxillary removable partial dentures were made after ostectomy.
Discussion: When treating a patient with exostosis, the major problems are difficulties of border sealing and excessive occlusal force. Ostectomy and reinforcement with denture base were effective procedures in this case.
Conclusion: This case indicated that fabricating dentures with reinforcement after ostectomy contributed to improved QOL and health condition of the patient.
