This study uses a survey of existing technology management and organizational literature that analyzes the link between product development structures and competitive strength to examine the logical development behind these studies. Specifically, a series of workflows is summarized from the initial stage of exploratory research of competitiveness to a comparative analysis of potential differences in the patterns of new, effective product development processes based on the product. By doing so, this study analyzes the causal relationship between product development processes and new product success by examining individual industries with a clear recognition.
