Abstract

While it assumed that integralization is required to improve the overall performance of a product, there are also instances wherein modularization is effective. Babolat Corp. increased the vibration absorption function of tennis rackets without major sacrifice in the recoil function by utilizing modular extraction to aggregate the vibration absorption function in woofers. As a result, they increased their market share, even while their product was being duplicated by competitors.
