Abstract

The very toxic compounds, polychlorodibenzo-p-dioxins and polychlorodibenzofurans were determined in paper products by using capillary column gaschromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry. Isomer and congener patterns of PCDDs and PCDFs were rather simple compared with those of combustion origin. 2, 3, 7, 8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin and 1, 2, 7, 8-tetrachloro, 2, 3, 7, 8-tetrachlorodibenzofuran were detected at ppt and sub ppt level in paper products.
