Abstract

Tetrathioureacoper(I) chloride was synthesised to study its NLO property. Crystals suitable for single crystal x-ray diffraction studies were grown by evaporation method. The compound crystallizes in the tetragonal system and has been characterized thus: P41212, a = 13.4090(5) Å, c = 13.8100(4)Å, V = 2483.1(1)Å3, Z = 8, Dc = 1.751 Mg/m3. The compound does not exhibit the NOL property.
